Soil
A loose, well draining combo of peat moss, shredded bark and cactus/succulent soil is recommend. If you tend to forget to water your plants, it is suggested to use a regular potting mix with perlite as it retains more moisture.

Fertilizer
A palm fertilizer that has continuous release formula twice a year is suggested. Otherwise, March to October 1 tsp epsom salts per gallon of water the first of every month, Rage 0-0-6 3rd watering of the month, March and October potache.

Growth
A fast growing palm that could grow 3 feet to 15 feet tall in approximately 5 years.

Light
These palms adapts to low light conditions. Low light palms, such as the bismarkia palm, prefer bright indirect light to full sun.

Water
Never let a palms root ball sit in water and allow the plants soil to dry out in between waterings. A terracotta or clay pot will help wick excess moisture form the soil.
